Successfully tested at our factory the rotating motorized vibrating chute for DRI loading in the 5th hole.
This impressive machine is 4,5 meters long and carries up to 240t/h.
It’s included in a revamping of our MHS (Material Handling System) for EAF designed and installed by us in 2008 for one of our long-standing customer in Egypt, it’s part of a supply of new equipment suitable to satisfy high and new customer performances such as DRI loading.
Now more than ever, this application is a current topic, due to rising global aim to reduce carbon emissions and tackle climate change, steelmaking facilities are reconsidering their production process with decrease in integrated steel production and increase in electric steelmaking (EAF), using scrap, direct reduced iron (DRI) and hot-briquetted iron (HBI).
Thanks to our solid experience in material handling system also for HBI and DRI, we are able to project, produce and install performing convey systems for this end, taking advantage of acquired technical knowledge in our operating worldwide projects.
